Method

What is the risk of chlamydia to women's health?

Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease caused by the intracellular parasite: Chlamydia trachomatis. Lack of treatment can lead to inflammation of the fallopian tubes and ovaries, cervix inflammation, inflammation of the urethra, infertility, increased risk of extrauterine pregnancy and occurrance of preterm births.

Most people may have Chlamydiosis without causing any complaints, so the infection can be undetected for years. According to research, 70% of women have a asymptomatic (without causing complaints) Chlamydia infection. There may also be short term complaints, so that infected persons may not notice them.

How to use?

Carefully insert the swab into your vagina as far as the neck of the womb (top end of your vagina). Rotate the swab evenly for about 30 seconds and then slowly withdraw the swab.

Package includes everything what is needed to perform test from comfort of your home: 1 testcassette, two sterile swabs, buffer solution, and the user manual.

What if the chlamydia test is positive?

Always consult your doctor before making any medical decisions. In case of a positive test result, consult your doctor to avoid serious complications and begin treatment.  The kit consists of two separately packed rapid tests - so after the treatment you can check whether the disease has been successfully treated.
