When should you take HIV home test?
HIV can affect anyone! It does not ask about your level of education, where you live, profession, sex or sexual preferencies.
You definetely have to do the test if you:
- have had unprotected intercourse;
- have shared needles when injecting drugs;
- have any reason to be worried about your HIV status.
It takes couple of weeks for the HIV antibodies to develop.The best way to do HIV home test is after 3 months from the event that potentially put you at risk of HIV.
If you often have unprotected sex, take the test in every 3 months and ask your partner to do the test as well.
