How does the allergy test work?

90-95% of allergic symptoms (runny nose, redness of the eyes, coughing and difficulty in breathing) are caused by airborne allergens. Under the influence of allergens antibodies (IgE immunoglobulin), levels are elevated and the blood test completed using our rapid home test detects elevation of these antibodies. Comparing to laboratory methods, the allergy rapid test accuracy is 98%.

Many European allergists have approved this allergy rapid test. 

The test is suitable for both adults and children (from 6-year-old).

What are the risks if the allergy remains undetected?

Asthma

In less severe cases, the allergic person may suffer from chronic nasal congestion or inflammation, which can lead to the onset of sleep apnoea. When a person does not get the required sleep at night, they are often tired and lethargic during the day, affecting their work or home life. However, in worst cases, untreated allergies lead to severe health problems – like asthma.

Cross allergies

The allergic person should consider the threat of cross allergies. For example, someone allergic to birch pollen may also develop similar symptoms when eating apples or pears. With grass allergies, the allergic person may also have an allergy to tomatoes, oranges or melons. Knowing, the exact causes of an allergy enables you to monitor other possible ones and reduces possible future undetected allergies by making certain lifestyle choices.

How to conduct this allergy test

This is simple and causes little discomfort. Only a small drop of blood is required. DO NOT use the finger pricker if its blue tab (marked ) is missing.

The test kit should be stored and used at normal room temperature. If it has been stored at a much lower temperature then leave the test kit unopened at room temperature for a minimum of 2 hours. The test unit should be used within 30 minutes of opening the foil pouch.

Wash your hands with soap and warm water; rinse well with warm water; dry with a clean towel - it is important that your hands are warm and dry as this improves the blood flow and makes it easier to collect the blood sample. Find a quiet place to perform the test, preferably sitting down in front of a table. Then open the:

• Pack containing the sterile finger pricker, blood tube and the tube of developer solution..
• Foil pouched test unit
• Do not pull or move the blue slider until instructed (10 minutes AFTER adding developer solution).
• Place these on a clean, level surface.

Allergy rapid test can be done at any time, irrespective of meals, seasons, diet, etc. The test provides an accurate answer, even if on the day of testing you suffer no allergy symptoms.

What to do if the allergy test is positive?

Consult with your family doctor and take your test results with you. If necessary, your doctor will direct you to an allergist for further consultation.
